I found this brother and sister on a Google Image Hunt, it reminded me of childhood trips to Newhaven 5 of us in the back of dad's van some of us feeling travel sick. Sand in the sandwiches and eating ice creams in the sun.
I put this brother and sister on Southwold beach and you can see the pier in the distance where there are several Tim Hunkin machines. On a sketching trip to Southwold my friend Helen and I emerged from the Bathyscape machine to realise that instead of having the place to ourselves, around 30 people had magically appeared listening to our almost hysterical laughter.
There was almost a fight to see who could get in there after us.
Go to Southwold pier, it is the best fun.
